Interior Painting in Des Moines & Central Iowa

Careful masking. Meticulous prep. Finishes that hold up to real family life.

Interior painting looks simple until you’ve lived through a bad one. Uneven cutlines, roller marks, paint on the trim, drop cloths that shifted overnight, the difference between a professional interior paint job and an average one comes down to the parts nobody sees. That’s where our crew spends its time. Every interior project we take on is led by a CIP Certified painter, and every one follows the same order of operations we’ve refined over years of Central Iowa homes.

Paint Products & Finishes

The paint you choose matters as much as the person applying it. We work primarily with Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, both offer excellent residential interior lines that stand up to washing, kids, pets, and everyday wear. During your estimate we’ll recommend the right sheen for each surface: flat or matte for ceilings, eggshell or satin for most walls, and semi-gloss or gloss for trim and doors. If you already have a paint brand or color palette in mind, we’ll work with it.

Interior Painting FAQs

How long does interior painting take?

Most single-room projects wrap up in one to two days. A whole-home interior repaint typically runs three to seven working days, depending on square footage, prep needs, and how many surfaces are involved. Your written proposal includes a specific timeline for your project.

We ask that you remove small, fragile, or valuable items, electronics, art, personal items. We handle moving larger furniture into the center of the room and covering it. If you’d prefer we don’t move certain pieces, let us know during the estimate.

We work primarily with Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore. Both offer excellent residential interior products across every sheen. If you have a brand preference or a specific product in mind, we’re happy to accommodate.

We can offer input based on what we’ve seen work in similar homes, but color selection is a personal choice. For homeowners who want deeper help, we can recommend a local color consultant to work alongside us.

Modern low-VOC and zero-VOC interior paints have dramatically reduced odor compared to older products. You’ll notice some paint smell during application and for a short time after, but most homeowners are comfortable in the space by the following day.

Yes, we paint kitchen and bathroom cabinets on request. Cabinet painting is a separate scope from wall painting because it requires more prep, spraying, and dry time, we’re happy to include it in your quote if you’re interested.
